A story circulating online claims that NFL legend Peyton Manning adopted a young girl named Lily (or Emily) after meeting her at a group home when she was just 8 years old.
The widely shared tale describes how she lost her parents in a car crash, lived in foster care, and was later adopted by Manning, who raised her quietly away from the spotlight.
The story says that she eventually stood beside him at a public event and shared emotional words about how he changed her life, not as a football star, but as a father.
However, there is no verified evidence or official confirmation that Peyton Manning adopted a daughter named Lily or Emily.
Neither Manning nor his family has made any public statements supporting this story, and major news outlets have not reported it as fact.
Well, Peyton Manning has been married to Ashley Thompson, a Tennessee native, since March 2001.
The couple welcomed their children a decade later, fraternal twins, Marshall Williams and Mosley Thompson Manning, who were born in March 2011.

A fictional story claiming that former NFL star Peyton Manning adopted a young girl named Lily has drawn massive attention online, along with a flood of mixed reactions from the public.
Many commenters were quick to dismiss the story as false, pointing out that Manning and his wife, Ashley, have two biological children, fraternal twins.
Several users called it “fake news” or “totally false,” expressing frustration over the spread of misleading content.
“Totally false. He and his wife have two biological children. I hate false rumors!”
“Why do people post this fake news?”
“Spam, not true. He only has two children and has never adopted a little girl.”
Others, however, responded to the story emotionally, saying it moved them—even after learning it wasn’t true.
“Beautiful story!”
“I’m not crying, you’re crying.”
“Wow, wonderful story of kindness and love!”
A few people expressed confusion, asking whether the girl in the story was real or questioning who she actually was, while others scolded the spread of unverified emotional content.
“So who actually is that girl?”
“What a cruel thing to do—spreading a rumor like this. I hate this!”
“Most lies sound wonderful, but they’re still lies.”
Now, teenagers Marshall and Mosley are growing up with football in their blood but they’re each carving their own path.
Marshall, Peyton’s son, has a strong love for football, but his favorite players aren’t his dad
He’s a big fan of Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen.
Mosley, Marshall’s twin sister, is involved in softball, tennis, and volleyball.
Although she doesn’t play football, she has had special moments with her dad through the game.
When Peyton retired in 2016, he shared a sweet story about Mosley encouraging him to win the Super Bowl. She was just five years old at the time.
