Despite his biological father, Allen Broughton, leaving him and his mother, Ann Iverson, Allen Iverson’s stepfather, Michael Freeman, was a father figure to him until he was arrested when Iverson was 13 years old.

Allen Ezail Iverson, aka The Answer, is a former professional basketball player. He is widely regarded as one of the most influential and talented guards in NBA history.

Born on June 7, 1975, in Hampton, Virginia, Iverson played 14 seasons in the NBA, primarily as a shooting guard and point guard.

He was drafted first overall by the Philadelphia 76ers in the 1996 NBA Draft and quickly became one of the league’s biggest stars.

Iverson is currently collaborating with Shaquille O’Neal on a six-episode Netflix docuseries called Power Moves, which explores Reebok’s return to basketball under their leadership.

Allen Iverson’s Parents, Ann And Allen Broughton, Were Never Married!

His father, Allen Broughton, was largely absent from his life, leaving Ann to raise Iverson on her own.

Ann Iverson Gave Him The Nickname “Bubba Chuck” To Allen!

In an interview with Kevin Hart on the show Cold as Balls, Allen Iverson publicly shared the story behind his nickname “Bubba Chuck.”

The name comes from his two uncles, Bubba and Chuck, who were debating over what nickname to give him.

Unable to decide, his mother combined both names and started calling him Bubba Chuck.

Moreover, Allen mentioned that Uncle Bubba had passed away, while Uncle Chuck was still alive. This is why people now mostly call him Chuck instead of Bubba Chuck.
