Andrew Kittredge, an American professional baseball pitcher for the Chicago Cubs, married Tobey in 2017. They have two children, Brooks and Griffn.

Tobey has been a steady presence throughout Andrew’s career, and their small family resides in Spokane, Washington.

Andrew began playing baseball at Ferris High School, and the Seattle Mariners drafted him out of high school in the 45th round of the 2008 Major League Baseball draft.

However, he didn’t sign with the Mariners and opted to attend the University of Washington. He played collegiate summer baseball with the Orleans Firebirds of the Cape Cod Baseball League in 2010.

On August 25, 2011, Andrew signed with the Seattle Mariners and made his professional debut for the Low-A Everett AquaSox.

During the 2012 campaign, he split his time between Single-A Clinton LumberKings, High-A High Desert Mavericks, and Double-A Jackson Generals.

The Mariners traded him to the Tampa Bay Rays on November 18, 2016, and he debuted in the major leagues for the first time on July 18, 2017.

Moreover, Andrew played for the St. Louis Cardinals and Baltimore Orioles before transferring to the Chicago Cubs on July 31, 2026.

Tobey, originally from Woodinville, Washington, met Andrew during their college years.

Before transitioning into her current role with Beautycounter, Tobey was an educator at Ben Rush Elementary.

Andrew Kittredge had a fun family trip to Disney World planned for the All-Star break in 2026, until his manager, Kevin Cash, called with an unexpected change of plans.

Instead of heading to the Magic Kingdom, he headed to Denver as a first-time All-Star.

The right-hander has been one of baseball’s most dominant relievers, posting a 1.47 ERA in 32 appearances with 43 strikeouts in 43 innings during the 2026 season.

Over his last 11 outings, he only allowed one run, proving to be a critical piece of the Rays’ bullpen.

What makes Kittredge even more valuable is his versatility.

He has pitched in every inning from the first to the 11th. That reliability earned him a late addition to the AL roster alongside Minnesota’s Taylor Rogers, replacing Yankees ace Gerrit Cole, and Seattle’s Yusei Kikuchi.

Kitt was a guy that we certainly were lobbying for. His numbers speak for themselves. He doesn’t have the saves that some of these closers have, but I don’t know if you could say that anybody has been more valuable to a bullpen. So extremely worthy of the honor.

Furthermore, the All-Star selection was a well-deserved milestone for Andrew, even if it meant postponing a trip to Disney.

Instead of riding roller coasters, he faced the best hitters in baseball on one of the game’s biggest stages.

He has an older brother, James, and five elder sisters, Rachel, Bethany, Kathryn, Jennifer, and Amanda.
On September 27, 2018, he threw a pitch at Yankees catcher Austin Romine’s head and was fined an undisclosed amount and received a 3-game suspension.
