According to reports, he was booked into the Lee County Jail at 6:20 p.m., and his bond was set at $20,000.

This charge is considered a Class B felony under Alabama law, which means if convicted, Malcolm could face between two and 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $30,000.

The arrest has raised concerns for the Auburn Tigers football program, as Malcolm was expected to be a key player in the 2026 season after a strong freshman year in 2026, where he caught 40 passes for 451 yards and three touchdowns.

So far, no specific details about the incident leading to his arrest have been made public, and the Auburn football program has not yet commented on the situation.

A video reportedly showing the alleged assault has circulated online, according to some sources, but further details are still unclear.
