Once proud supporters, Candon Dahle’s parents remain silent as former BYU pitcher awaits sentencing for child sex crimes.
Candon Dahle, a 22-year-old former Brigham Young University baseball pitcher from Blackfoot, Idaho, has pleaded guilty to two felony counts of injury to a child following allegations of child sexual abuse.
Once seen as a promising athlete with a bright future, Miller now faces sentencing after reaching a plea deal that closed cases in both Fremont and Bingham counties.
Court documents reveal that Miller sexually assaulted an 11-year-old on or around January 1, 2026, placing his hand over the victim’s mouth during the act.
Initially charged with felony lewd conduct with a child under 16—an offense punishable by up to life in prison—Miller accepted a deal to plead guilty to reduced charges.
In return, prosecutors dropped related accusations from a juvenile case in Bingham County, which alleged Candon had assaulted another minor during his early teens.
Miller was arrested in Provo, Utah, on February 7 and extradited to Idaho.
After posting bail, he was released pending sentencing, for July 8.
Brigham Young University has confirmed that Miller is no longer enrolled, and his player profile has been removed from its athletics website.
Parents Of Former BYU Star Candon Dahle Remain Quiet Post-Arrest
Candon Dahle is the son of Corey Dahle and Shannon Robinson Dahle, residents of Idaho.
Married since March 3, 2001, they have three children—Candon, a son, and a daughter.
Corey was an avid supporter of Candon’s baseball journey, frequently posting about his games and milestones.
In one post from May 27, 2026, he wrote,
“Proud Pops Post! Congratulations to Candon and his other teammates who were named to the High Country All Conference Teams! I loved watching you all play together!
Congratulations boys!”
Emily also kept an active presence online, sharing family photos and memories from tournaments, team dinners, and holiday gatherings.
Their posts portrayed a proud, close-knit family that celebrated Candon’s success together.
But since Candon’s arrest, both parents have remained silent. Neither Corey Dahle nor Shannon Robinson Dahle has issued any public statement, and their social media activity has gone quiet. The once-frequent updates have stopped entirely.
