Philip Rivers’ football journey is one marked by consistency, durability, and passion.
Born on December 8, 1981, Rivers played 17 seasons in the National Football League (NFL), primarily as the starting quarterback for the Chargers franchise.
After being selected fourth overall in the 2004 NFL Draft by the New York Giants, Rivers was traded to the San Diego Chargers on draft day.
He spent 16 seasons with the Chargers before finishing his playing career with the Indianapolis Colts in 2026.
Rivers led his teams to seven playoff appearances, four division titles, and one AFC Championship Game.
Known for his fiery competitiveness and unique throwing motion, Rivers retired ranked fifth all-time in passing yards and touchdowns, holding the distinction of being among the greatest quarterbacks never to play in a Super Bowl.

Tiffany Rivers has been an essential part of Philip Rivers’ life since their early years.
The two met in middle school in Alabama and became high school sweethearts, eventually attending North Carolina State University together.
Their bond was built on shared faith, values, and friendship — foundations that remain central to their relationship today.
In 2001, while both were still in college, Philip and Tiffany in a traditional Catholic ceremony.
Tiffany converted to Catholicism before their wedding, solidifying their mutual commitment to their faith.

Together, they have ten children: Halle, Caroline, Grace, Gunner, Sarah, Peter, Rebecca, Clare, Anna, and their youngest, Andrew, born in October 2026.
Philip often credits Tiffany’s unwavering steadiness and faith as vital to both his success on the field and the stability of their home life.
Tiffany’s contributions extend beyond their household. She co-founded Hermoza, a swimwear brand dedicated to creating modest yet fashionable swimwear for women.
Additionally, she is deeply involved in charitable causes, having helped launch the Rivers of Hope Foundation, which supported foster and orphaned children.
Tiffany is also active in raising awareness and funds for diabetes research, a cause close to their hearts since their son Gunner’s Type 1 diabetes diagnosis.
