Kristin Cavallari, an American television personality and the former wife of former Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler, often expresses her love for her mother.
The four-time NY Times bestselling author, Kristin Cavallari, was born on January 5, 1987, in Denver, Colorado, to father Dennis Cavallari and mother Judith Eifrig.
After her parents’ separation when she was very young, Cavallari moved with her mother, Judith, to Barrington, Illinois, where she lived until her freshman year of high school.
She then moved to Laguna Beach, California, to live with her father and brother to pursue her career as a TV personality.
While not much is known about her parents, Dennis and Judith’s professional lives, Kristin Cavallari frequently expresses her love for her mother on social media, whom she regards as her constant supporter.
Kristin Cavallari’s mother, Judith Eifrig, who is of German descent, has stood by her daughter’s side through all her good and bad times.
She was there to support Kristin Cavallari when she decided to end her marriage to former Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler in 2026 and helped her daughter raise their three kids, Camden, Jaxon, and Saylor.
In an interview with ET, Kristin Cavallari revealed that listening to her mother Judith’s advice helped her to really get to the place she needed to be when she and her former husband decided to divorce.
“It was not an easy decision, obviously. It was something that I trutly throught about every single day for over two years. It was the hardest decision that I have ever made. But I don’t Know, my mom used to say, ‘You’ll know when it’s time.’ I feel like that was true. I knew. And that’s that.”
While Judith Spies Eifrig chooses to keep a low profile and stays off social media, her daughter Kristin Cavallari frequently offers glimpses into their joyful and adventurous life together, often posting heartfelt moments with her mother and three children, expressing her deep love for them.
In an Instagram post from 2026, Kristin Cavallari shared a beautiful picture of her mother, Judith, and her daughter, Saylor, with a heartfelt caption that reads:
“3 generations of the ladies. I learned how to be a mom from my mama and for that I am very grateful. Don’t know what I would do without her. Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing moms out there 💕”
Kristin Cavallari Recently Opened Up About Cutting Her Dad, Dennis, Out Of Her Life
The Hills actress and proud mother of three, Kristin Cavallari, recently opened up about cutting her dad, Dennis, out of her life, calling it the ‘best decision I’ve ever made.’
While Cavallari has often expressed her love for her mother, Judith, she hadn’t shared much about her relationship with her father until now.
In an interview with People, Kristin Cavallari stated that she decided to cut her father off from her life after he crossed the boundary with her kids. However, she didn’t reveal what her father, Dennis, did.
She said:
“I mean, honestly, and this might sound messed up to some people, but it’s the best decision I’ve ever made, cutting my dad out of my life. Such a weight has been lifted from me.There’s not one day where I miss him. I don’t know if it was two or three years ago, but I mean, I was an adult, let’s say I was 35 [when I decided]. It was 35 years of buildup to that point.”
Kristin further added:
“If someone’s not bringing you joy, if people are only bringing you hurt and sadness and anger, what is the point? Even if it’s a parent, life’s too short.”
Likewise, on Bunnie XO’s Dumb Blonde podcast, Cavallari stated that her dad is a narcissist, a Typical narcissist, and her tumultuous relationship with him led her to escape by drinking and doing drugs while growing up.
The whole Cavallari family faced a tragedy when Kristin Cavallari lost her elder brother, Michael Cavallari, who passed away in 2015 due to hypothermia following a car crash.
