One of his friends recalled playing alongside Kenny for a season with the Piccoli Spartans, saying:

I played with Ken 1 year for Piccoli Spartans one season, he went to Somerton and I went to Venango. Ken was a great guy and fb player we met again at work septa. RIP Ken.
