“The loss of a recently graduated athlete has stirred up all kinds of emotions. We see these young men through some of the highest-pressure situations they’ve ever encountered. Push them to do the uncomfortable and inconvenient on a daily basis… There is a bond deeper than just player and coach. To those young men that I’ve coached in the past, to the ones I’m coaching now, and the ones I will coach in the future—I LOVE YOU, even if you haven’t heard from me in a while, I LOVE YOU. Y’all pray for the ones that have been lost and even more for the families and loved ones they left behind. Rest easy Treylen Floyd, I’ll see you later my friend.”
