Former Eagles football player Bryan Braman’s mother, Tina Braman-Fields, was an elite high school sprinter.
Bryan Allan Braman, who was a fan favorite in his three seasons with the Houston Texans because of the way he played with reckless abandon, is fighting a rare form of cancer.
A GoFundMe page has been started for the seven-year pro, raising money for Braman, who is receiving treatment in Seattle.
According to the , he underwent CAR T-cell therapy, a treatment that involves genetically modifying white blood cells to recognize and attack cancer cells more effectively.
The campaign has raised more than $35,000, including a $10,000 donation from J.J. Watt, $2,500 from Duane Brown, and $1,100 from Brian Cushing.
College Station, when Texans assistant coach Bobby King, who was previously the defensive line coach at West Texas A&M, suggested the Texans give Braman a shot.
He made the team in 2011 and quickly established himself on special teams.
In a game against the Titans, Braman lost his helmet while covering a punt and still made the tackle, using his head to hit returner Marc Mariani in the helmet for the .

“That was a lot of fun,” “My family saw it and told me they always knew I had something like that in me, that it was only a matter of time before I had a chance to prove it. “As for my coaches and teammates, they were trying to figure out why in the world I’d do something like that.”
A year later, Braman blocked a punt and returned it for a touchdown against the Colts and was named a Pro Bowl alternate on special teams.
Braman spent one more year in Houston before signing with the Eagles as a free agent.
He played four seasons in Philadelphia and was part of the 2017 team that won the Super Bowl.

However, Tina always supported Bryan in achieving his athletic and academic goals despite financial struggles.
Her support paid off after Bryan was signed by the Houston Texans as an undrafted free agent in 2011.
According to Tina’s profile, she served as Office Assistant Manager at The Arc of Spokane from February 2002 to October 2011.
Since December 2011, she has been serving as the customer service representative at Meadowlake Pet Resort.

Bryan Braman’s mother, Tina, was born to her father, Ivan C. Braman, and her mother, Lorraine Loretta “Lorry” Lawrence.
She grew up with her two sisters, Sue Verhaag and Lisa Meaders, and four brothers, Rory, Edward, Donald, and Leroy Braman.
Tina’s father served in the Army during World War II and worked as a truck driver for an environmental service company.
Sadly, he on April 4, 2001, in Spokane, Washington, United States.
On the other hand, Tina’s mother, Lorraine, passed away in 1995.
