Dale Moss is an American former football wide receiver who played professionally for the Los Angeles Kiss of the Arena Football League and college football for the South Dakota State Jackrabbits.
Also well known for his appearance on Season 16 of The Bachelorette, Dale Moss has once again captured public attention as a new contestant on Bachelor in Paradise Season 10.
The former football star was briefly engaged to his Bachelorette partner, Clare Crawley, before their breakup in September 2026.
He later entered a two-and-a-half-year relationship with former Goldman Sachs asset and wealth management executive Galey Alix Gravenstein. Now, he returns to Bachelor Nation as a single man on Bachelor in Paradise.
As Dale Moss continues to make headlines with his appearance on the renowned reality show, he’s sparking curiosity about his personal life, including details about his parents and family background.
Dale Moss was born on September 24, 1988, in Brandon, South Dakota, to parents of interracial heritage, Dale Moss Sr. and Delores Martin Moss.
His parents — Delores, who is white, and Dale Sr., who is Black — faced discrimination as an interracial couple when they began dating in college.
But despite the odds, they got married and raised Dale Moss and his sisters, Robyn and Amber, to be kind, confident, and grounded individuals.
Dale Moss often expresses his love and respect for his parents, crediting them with teaching him always to follow his passions and work hard, which has shaped his successful career as an athlete and now a producer and actor.
In an interview with Forbes, Dale Moss said:
“To this day, my sisters and my mother have shaped me into the man I am. I’ve always had strong, powerful women in my life and they’ve helped me in every aspect. They’re part of my team, my core that’s definitely what keeps me grounded.”
While very little information is available about Dale’s father, Dale Moss Sr., his professional life is not publicly known, as he prefers to maintain a low profile; however, the former football player often travels to different places with his father and shares glimpses of their adventurous life on social media.

Delores, born on January 7, 1954, in Sioux City, IA, to late parents Tom and Jeanine Martin of Westfield, IA, passed away at the untimely age of 63, surrounded by her family at Clarkson Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska.
In an in January 2026, Dale Moss revealed that when he was in college, his mother, Delores, was hospitalized battling liver failure for several months.
She had a liver transplant and recovered; however, many years later, in 2017, she passed away unexpectedly.
Furthermore, Delores Moss not only instilled a work ethic and kind nature in Dale Moss but also guided him in his sports journey.
Delores Moss was an incredible basketball player and represented the United States as part of the Women’s National Team.
