Her father, Edward Moynahan, was a scientist and former administrator at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and her mother, Mary, was a former school teacher.

Mr. Moynahan was born on November 5, 1938, in Lowell, MA. He was the son of the late Andrew J. and Helen Bradley Moynahan. 

Sadly, Edward passed away on October 19, 2018, at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He had a long career as a Ph.D. chemist who made significant contributions to the field of chemistry.

Similarly, Bridget’s mother, Mary Moriarty, was born to John and Irene Moriarty on December 21, 1939.

The native of Easthampton graduated from Emmanuel College in 1961 with a Bachelor of Science degree. 

After her graduation, Mary embarked on a journey to become a history teacher.

However, she retired from her teaching career shortly after giving birth to Bridget and her other two siblings, Andy and Sean.

Besides being a loving and dotting mother, Mary enjoyed the stock club, playing tennis, visiting book clubs, sailing, watching sunsets on Block Island, and catching up with her friends.

Sadly, she passed away on July 10, 2019, nearly a year after her husband’s demise. Bridget lost the most important people in her life just in a span of two years.

Even though her parents were not familiar with the acting and modeling industry, they still supported Bridget fully.
