Dillyn Suggs, the daughter of Florida A&M University’s Athletic Director Angela Suggs, has established her own path as an NCAA Division I softball player at Campbell University in Buies Creek, North Carolina.
Dillyn Ashleigh Suggs is known to be the daughter of Angela Suggs, a 1992 FAMU graduate and the current Vice President and Director of Athletics of Florida A&M University, and Davin Suggs, a Deputy Executive Director for the Florida Association of Counties.
While her mother’s prominence in sports administration has placed the Suggs family in the spotlight, Dillyn has made a name for herself with her athletic achievements.
Born on July 6, 2006, Dillyn has established herself as a promising athlete on the Campbell University softball team, competing in the NCAA Division I Coastal Athletic Association.
She grew up in Tallahassee, Florida, where she honed her athletic abilities at Florida State University Schools.
Under the guidance of coach Brittany Gilliam, Dillyn Ashleigh Suggs proved her skills, batting .333 in her senior year and earning recognition as an MSP All-American in both 2026 and 2026.
She compiled 24 hits, six home runs, and maintained a .419 OBP with a .730 SLG, earning the Coaches Award and Second Team All-Big Bend honors.
Beyond high school, Dillyn thrived in travel ball with D1VISION, coached by Tammy Vermeulen, where she posted a .346 batting average and a .558 slugging percentage in the summer of 2026, racking up 18 hits and two home runs.
Her achievements also include being selected for the MSP All-Star Toni’s Promise Team in 2026.
Thanks to her commitments and skills, Dillyn was recognized for her academic achievements, making the principal’s list in 2026 and the dean’s list in 2026 as a part of a dual enrollment program.
Dillyn Suggs Is A Softball Player At Campbell University!
Now a scholar-athlete at Campbell University, continues to excel in softball. She is majoring in Sports Management, intending to become a sports executive after graduation.
Her dedication, both academically and athletically, showcases her drive to make a lasting impact on and off the field.
Dillyn’s decision to join Campbell University was driven by its winning culture and strong leadership, which she believes will help her grow as an athlete and professional.
As a dedicated scholar-athlete, Dillyn brings her skills to the Orange Blossom Classic, working as a Game Operations Intern and contributing to marketing and event logistics.
Her experience extends to political outreach, having interned with the Florida Association of Counties, assisting with national campaigns and conferences.
With a keen problem-solving mindset, strong leadership, and a deep commitment to sports and community impact, she is preparing for a future as a sports executive, aiming to shape the industry with her expertise.
