Some social media users speculated that the former general manager of the New England Patriots has dementia.
Bill Belichick is reportedly sidelining his girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, as the fallout from the couple’s disastrous CBS interview continues.
Belichick instead of Hudson and has been in talks with former Bears VP of communications Brandon Faber for several months.
The PR hire would help manage Belichick’s new role as head football coach of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his public image, which was offended by Hudson’s cringeworthy PR moves.
Belichick appeared on CBS Sunday Morning last week to promote his new book, but it went viral for the wrong reasons after Hudson interrupted to shut down a question about how the couple met.
The incident sparked a media firestorm and raised concerns among Belichick’s friends about Hudson’s influence over him.
In a statement released Wednesday through UNC, Belichick criticized CBS for using “selectively edited” clips and images to push the false narrative that Hudson attempted to control the conversation.
Belichick has asked for Hudson, whom he as his “muse,” to be a carbon copy (CC’d) on all UNC emails.
Social Media Users Speculated About Bill Belichick Having Dementia Following His Recent Interviews
On April 28, 2026, a Twitter user shared a clip of Bill Belichick’s interview on CBS Sunday Morning and speculated that Belichick might have dementia following his conversations. He wrote,
Belichick might actually have dementia.
NESN posted a strange interview clip of Bill Belichick on their official handle, where Bill claimed CBS created a false narrative about the bizarre interview.
In the comment section, one person said that Bill might have early on set dementia.
Maybe he has early on set dementia. That could explain the behavior but let’s face it, he’s always been kind of an oddball, no matter how good of a coach he was.
In addition, when the that Bill spoke out in defense of his girlfriend, Hudson, after she shut down part of a recent interview, several social media users said that Bill is in the early stages of dementia. One person wrote,

However, there is no confirmed information indicating that Bill has been diagnosed with dementia.
Notably, he has shown a personal interest in neurological health issues.
In 2016, he joined the business advisory board of AZTheapies, a company focused on developing treatments for neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s.
