Former Jackson High Student Wrestler Isaiah Allen Killed in Wrong-Way Crash, Was Not Wearing Helmet!

A tragic accident claimed the life of Isaiah Allen, a 34-year-old former Jackson High School wrestler, in northeast Columbus early Monday morning on July 7, 2026.

Isaiah Allen is survived by his parents, and , and his brother, .

So far, Gary and Tanya, a married couple of 37 years, have yet to break their silence on his tragic demise.

The crash happened around 12:09 a.m. on July 7, 2026, on State Route 161 near Little Turtle Way.

Isaiah Allen was riding his motorcycle westbound in the eastbound lanes of the highway, traveling in the wrong direction. His motorcycle collided with a Honda Accord, hitting the front passenger side of the car.

The impact threw Allen off his bike, and he was pronounced dead at the scene by Columbus Fire paramedics at 12:14 a.m.

Reports confirm that Allen was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

Two adults in the Honda Accord were injured and taken to Mount Carmel St. Ann’s Hospital and are reported to be in stable condition.

The Columbus police are still investigating the Isaiah Allen crash to determine why Allen was riding in the wrong direction on State Route 161.

Meanwhile, the investigation continues as authorities work to understand the circumstances of this tragic incident.

Following the tragic incident, social media has flooded with overwhelming support and love from his loved ones.

Jasmine Merz, one of Isaiah Allen’s friends, penned a lengthy eulogy, writing:

Wow I’m heartbroken. 💔 This doesn’t feel real. I just seen you & first thing I did was get on you for not wearing a helmet. I never imagined it would be our last conversation.😓
Isaiah Allen, you were one of the most kindest & hard-working people I know. Your dedication and willingness to show up and go above & beyond for others was admirable. 🥹 You were the embodiment of positive masculinity and what that means as a man: strong, respectful, protective, responsible, & grounded.👏🏽 You leave behind a legacy of love, loyalty & integrity. ❤️

Another friend, Austin Hager, wrote:

Trying to come up with words to describe the way I feel about losing Isaiah Allen today has been tough to say the least. Isaiah was the type of person you really wanted in your corner. Long story short, he was an amazing friend.
I will always keep your memory dear to me, big brother!

Thus far, details surrounding his funeral services have not been published by his family.
