Jayson Tatum, an American professional basketball player for the Boston Celtics of the NBA, is a proud father of a son named Jayson Jr. ‘Deuce’, whom he shares with his former partner, Toriah Lachell.

The two-time Olympic gold medalist,, and his former girlfriend, Toriah Lachell, met during their high school years in Missouri, and their relationship continued as Tatum entered his college basketball career at Duke.

Furthermore, the two became parents in December 2017 when their son, Jayson ‘Deuce’ Tatum Jr., was born, just months into Tatum’s rookie NBA season with the Boston Celtics.

Becoming a father at such a young age of 19, while also begining his professional career, was a major life shift for Tatum, but he embraced it publicly, often referring to his son as his motivation.

Although Jayson and Toriah eventually ended their romantic relationship, they’ve worked to co-parent Deuce with little drama in the public eye.

There has been no confirmed legal dispute over custody or child support between the two.

While official child support arrangements have not been made public, it’s widely understood that Tatum provides for his son’s needs and maintains an active, present role in his life, as does his former girlfriend, Toriah.

Toriah Lachell, the ex-girlfriend of Jayson Tatum and mother of their son, Deuce, is thriving in her career as a hairstylist.

She is a certified and professional hairstylist based in Boston, Massachusetts. A native of St. Louis, Missouri, Toriah Lachell attended cosmetology school.

Toriah is a DevaCurl certified stylist, Cut It Kinky Alumna, and Rezo Cut certified stylist who owns The Curl Bar, her hair salon in Boston.

In addition to her career as an exceptional hairstylist, Toriah is also an athlete who played varsity soccer at McCluer North High School in Florissant, Missouri.

She also played softball for four years, two years on the junior varsity team and two years on the varsity team.

Talking about her personal life, Toriah was born in February 2000 , Julie Gibbs. No information is available about her biological father; however, she found a fatherly love in her stepfather, John Gibbs.
