Bob Chesney, a former college football star who currently serves as the head football coach at James Madison University, has been winning hearts with his exceptional coaching skills.

Renowned college football coach Bob Chesney, who has led several prominent programs, including Salve Regina, Assumption, and Holy Cross, has been serving as the head coach of James Madison University’s men’s football team since 2026.

While Coach Bob Chesney’s on-field journey is well known, he tends to keep his personal life private and hasn’t shared much about his family, including his wife and children.

With his growing popularity and promising career, many are now curious about his life off the field, especially about the woman behind his success: his wife.

Although, like Bob Chesney, his wife Andrea Jones Chesney prefers to live a private life and isn’t active on social media, the couple has been happily married for almost two decades, tying their knot in 2007.

Bob Chesney and his wife Andrea have always supported each other through the ups and downs of life.

Likewise, Bob Chesney and his longtime wife Andrea are blessed with three beautiful children: daughters Lyla and Hudson and a son named Bo.

They welcomed their first child, a daughter named Lyla, in 2010; their second child, Hudson, was born in 2013; and their third child, and only son, Bo, arrived in 2014.

Although Bob Chesney and his wife Andrea live private lives, she often supports him in his coaching career and attends games. Bob has also frequently expressed his love and pride for his longtime partner and the mother of his three children.

Andrea was there to support her husband, Bob Chesney, when his Holy Cross Football team, the Crusaders, defeated Fordham, earning the fourth consecutive Patriot League title and Football Championship Subdivision in 2026.

Bob expressed his happiness at being able to celebrate his achievements with his family, stating:

“To have our families there was so special, It is such a big deal for any football program. Our families sacrifice a lot with us not at home, and I think it is really important to share in those moments when you have the chance to do so.”

Andrea Chesney excels not only in her personal life as a great wife to Bob Chesney and an amazing mother to their three kids, but also in her professional journey.

Earning her BS degree from West Chester University of Pennsylvania, began her career as an Intellectual Property Specialist at BTG in 2001.

Moreover, after serving in her position for almost four years at BTG, she continued her journey as the Senior Consultant of Invotex Group.

Andrea also showcased her amazing management skills serving as the manager and business development officer of Deloitte Recap LLC, before becoming the client services director and team lead of Thomson Reuters.

Furthermore, Bob’s wife Andrea worked with several renowned companies in the Boston area, such as Clarivate Analytics, SHYFT Analytics, and Medidata Solutions.

Andrea most recently served as the Executive Director of Client Success and Global Head of Client Success at Citeline in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
