Tom Fogg, a long-time Bridgeport, West Virginia, educator and coach, passed away on April 30, 2026, following a battle with cancer.

His daughter, Kelsey, confirmed this tragic news via her Facebook page, saying:

After six months & one day of a fight against cancer, my dad passed away yesterday evening. There are so many things I want to say but I have struggled to figure out how to put it all into words & if you know me, I rarely struggle with knowing what to say in a post and/or in person because well, I like to talk. That’s definitely something I got from my dad

Tom Fogg was a long-time educator and coach in Bridgeport, West Virginia, known for his significant impact on thousands of students and athletes during his career.

He was primarily associated with Bridgeport Middle School and the Bridgeport High School football program.

During his time there, he served as a coach under the legendary head coach Wayne Jamison.

Fogg played a key role in the development of the Bridgeport Indians football team, contributing to its success.

Tom Fogg Penned A Heartfelt Letter To His Wife!

was the son of Clarence “Sleepy” Fogg and Irene Fogg. His mother, at the age of 93 in Bridgeport, West Virginia.

After learning about his cancer in September, Tom wrote to his wife a humorous letter, realizing he had a limited time left.

He told his wife to read that only after his passing. Also, he asked his doctor if he would be around to see his grandkids, who were due in December and April, saying:

Will I still be around when my grandkids are due?

He infused his words with humor, ensuring that even after his passing, his wife would find comfort and a reason to smile while reading them.

Moreover, he was also a proud grandfather of five grandkids, Braxton, Landon, Sydney, Wesley & Ryan.

Even in his final months, he remained focused on his loved ones, cherishing moments with his grandchildren.
