Noah Amerson, the older brother of former NFL player David Amerson, was tragically killed on June 19, 2026, during a home invasion robbery while vacationing with his family in Manatí, Puerto Rico.
Recently, authorities arrested 24-year-old Elías Daniel Pérez Cruz from Arecibo, Puerto Rico, who allegedly shot Noah, 39, in front of his family.
He then fled the scene in a red 2026 Hyundai Accent with stolen items, including cash, sneakers, and clothing.
He was already in custody for a separate robbery when authorities linked him to the fatal home invasion that occurred on June 19 in Manatí.
It is also reported that Cruz, the suspect, allegedly assaulted another victim earlier the same day in Vega Alta, stealing jewelry and using a firearm.
He now faces multiple charges, including first-degree murder and weapons violations, with a $2.75 million bond.
Additionally, his preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 15.

After serving 16 months in prison for drug and gun charges, he rebuilt his life with determination.
He found steady work in construction and became a steadfast supporter of his younger brother David’s football career.

His wife, LaTonya Allen, is a devoted mother who faced unimaginable tragedy when her husband was killed during a home invasion robbery.
The couple had recently celebrated their first wedding anniversary in Puerto Rico. They were also marking Noah’s birthday and the graduation of their son and stepdaughter.
LaTonya was present during the violent home invasion that claimed Noah’s life.
As per her, Noah was protecting her and their children when he was shot multiple times in the groin and ankle.
She is now navigating life as a widow and single parent to their 11 children.
Moreover, a campaign has been launched to support LaTonya Allen and her 11 children following the tragic loss of Noah Amerson.
Organized by the African-American Credit Union Coalition, the initiative aims to provide financial relief as families navigate this devastating time.
