The Payne, Ohio, Community mourned the sudden death of Keegan Rager, 18, a cherished son, brother, and recent Wayne Trace High School graduate, on May 18, 2026.
While the specific reasons for his passing are yet to be shared, the overwhelming expressions of love and support highlight the influence Keegan had on everyone he met.

He was raised alongside his 14-year-old brother, Kamden, in a close-knit family in Payne, Ohio.
Keegan, a member of the Wayne Trace High School Class of 2026, just graduated.
His energy and friendly personality made a positive impact on everyone he met.
This graduation marks the start of a bright future for him.
Keegan was a passionate athlete, playing as a ce High School.
He also spent two years with the Northwest Ohio Big Dogs baseball program, where he left a lasting impression.
In a heartfelt tribute, Coach Robison shared,
The Big Dogs plan to honor Keegan at their next tournament, proof of his memorable mark on the team.
Beyond baseball, Keegan lived a passionate life filled with simple joys.
He loved hitting the gym with friends, playing with his cat, and spending quality time with his family and girlfriend, MaKenna Johnson.
His dedication grew to his work at Barney’s Best Auto Detailing, a business owned by his late uncle, Melvin H. Crawford III.
There, Keegan took pride in tasks like leather cleaning, headlight restoration, waxing, buffing, polishing, rust removal, minor scratch repair, odor elimination, and stain removal.
His commitment to his craft reflected his strong work ethic and attention to detail.

The loss of his uncle was a heavy blow, but Keegan carried on with strength, honoring Melvin’s memory through his work and positive spirit.
The News Of Keegan Rager’s Passing Shocked The Community Of Payne
Rachel and Josh Rager, along with Kamden and grandparents Bill and Connie Barnhart DeVelvis, are going through an unimaginable loss.
The community has stepped up to ease their burden, organizing fundraisers to help with funeral expenses.
