Lexi Held, guard for the Phoenix Mercury, is making impressive strides in her basketball career, much to the pride of her parents.
Rookie Lexi Held a season-high 24 points and put the Mercury ahead 77-66 with 1:11 remaining on a deep 3-pointer against the Golden State Valkyries.
She was 7 for 15 from the field, including 4 for 9 behind the arc, and 6 for 6 at the free-throw line for the best scoring output by a rookie this season, passing Paige Bueckers’ mark of 21.

Lexi Held’s Parents Supported Her In Achieving Her Basketball Dreams
Born on December 28, 1999, in Burlington, Kentucky, United States, Lexi Held was raised by her parents, Rome and Monica Held.
According to the , Lexi’s parents lived in Rabbit Hash before relocating to Burlington, where Lexi was born.
They have always supported Lexi to pursue her career in basketball.
During one of the interviews, Lexi said her father got a tape measure out and painted the free-throw line and the 3-point line when she was in seventh grade.
Lexi’s mother, Monica, was born to her mother, Norma Francis Roland Kerns, and her father, Jack W. Kerns.
Tragically, Monica’s father, Jack,on Friday, October 31, 2014, at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY, at 82.
On the other hand, Monica’s mother, Norma, on Wednesday, August 5, 2015, at her residence at the age of 72.
Lexi Held Grew Up With Her Sister, Hannah Henderson
Lexi Held and her sister Hannah Henderson were both athletic as kids. Hannah was a state title contender in the high jump.
Henderson, 31, was born in 1995 and is four years older than Lexi Held.
Hannah shares two children with her husband, whose identity has not been revealed.
She announced her first pregnancy through her Facebook by posting the ultrasound image. In the comment section, her mother, Monica, expressed her excitement and wrote,
