Following Ryan Mallett’s tragic passing in 2026, his mother, Debbie Mallett, and sister, Lauren Mallett, are honoring his legacy by running the Mallett Family Foundation.
Ryan Mallett was an American football quarterback who played in the NFL for the New England Patriots, Houston Texans, and Baltimore Ravens.
He was known for his strong arm and played college football at Michigan and Arkansas.
After playing, he transitioned into coaching and became the head football coach at White Hall High School in Arkansas.

His father, Jim, was a high school teacher and football coach. He had a background in college football, playing for the University of Arkansas.
His experience as a player influenced his later career as a high school football coach, where he mentored young athletes.
Moreover, his coaching career played a significant role in Ryan’s early exposure to football, fostering his skills and passion for the game.
His coaching career spanned multiple schools, including Salem, Lincoln, and Texas High School in Texarkana, Texas, where he taught history and coached football.
He began coaching at Arkansas Tech, where he met Debbie, and later worked in various Arkansas and Texas towns.
Tragically, , predeceasing Ryan. His legacy continued through Ryan’s career and the family’s commitment to coaching.

Likewise, after the tragic demise of her son, she works alongside her daughter, Lauren, to run the Mallett Family Foundation.
