Annie Sabo is married to golfer Kevin Roy, whose journey to the PGA Tour shows remarkable perseverance.
Annie Sabo has established herself as a prominent sports broadcaster with an impressive career trajectory.
Currently working with the Big Ten Network, Sabo previously served as a sports reporter and anchor for Bally Sports North, where she covered the Minnesota Twins and Minnesota Timberwolves.
During her tenure there, she hosted both Pre-Game and Post-Game shows, bringing insightful analysis to fans.
Following her passion for sports broadcasting, Sabo later joined Bally Sports Ohio to cover the Cincinnati Reds, a team with special significance as her father Chris Sabo’s former team.
Sabo’s broadcasting journey began at KRIS in Corpus Christi, Texas, where she worked for two years before moving to WFLA-TV in Tampa, Florida.
Her time in Tampa included covering the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
In 2019, she took over as host of Wolves Live, replacing veteran broadcaster Tom Hanneman.
In July 2026, Sabo announced her departure from Bally Sports North to return to Florida, aiming to be closer to family and prepare for her wedding.
She promptly joined the Big Ten Network, working on the B1G Tailgate show for the 2026 season.
Annie Sabo’s Husband, Kevin Roy, Is Making His Mark In Golf
Annie Sabo is married to professional golfer Kevin Roy, who has carved out his own impressive career in the world of professional golf.
Born on March 15, 1990, in Syracuse, New York, Roy 6’0″ tall and currently resides with Annie in Lakewood Ranch, Florida.
Golf runs in Kevin’s blood, as his father Jim Roy on both the PGA Tour and PGA Tour Champions.
This father-son connection extends to their collaborative efforts on the course – in 2018, Kevin caddied for his father at the US Senior Open, while seven years earlier, Kevin shot a course-record nine-under at a PGA TOUR pre-qualifying event with his father serving as his caddie.
Roy’s path to professional success wasn’t without challenges. After graduating from Long Beach State University in 2012, where he was a college teammate of now-famous golfer Xander Schauffele, Roy turned professional.
His early career included difficult stretches, particularly during the 2015 PGA Tour Latinoamerica season, where he made just one cut in ten starts.
By 2017, Roy was seriously considering abandoning his professional golf aspirations and working in medical sales and at Bellevue Country Club in Syracuse.
However, Roy persevered and worked his way back through the PGA Tour Canada and Korn Ferry Tour, ultimately achieving his goal of making it to the PGA Tour in 2026 at age 32.
Though he finished 174th in his debut season, earning nearly $500,000, his determination continues to fuel his career.
In 2026, during a rare PGA Tour start at the Valspar Championship, Roy finished T12th, marking the second-best result of his PGA Tour career after a T8th finish at the 2026 Bermuda Championship.
Together, Annie and Kevin represent a modern sports power couple, each pursuing their passions while building a family and supporting each other’s professional endeavors.
