St. Charles North Football Player Angelo Bradley Dies After Motorcycle Collision With SUV on Red Gate Road

The St. Charles community is grieving from the tragic loss of 19-year-old Angelo Bradley, a former St. Charles North HS football player, who died in a motorcycle crash on Tuesday, July 22, 2026.

The accident occurred at 12:14 a.m. at the intersection of Randall Road and Red Gate Road in St. Charles, Illinois, leaving a void in the hearts of his family, friends, and the entire North Star community.

According to the Kane County Sheriff’s Office, Angelo was riding his black 2009 Kawasaki motorcycle when it collided with a black 2007 Range Rover driven by Maria Fitz, a 49-year-old woman from Chicago.

Fitz was heading south on Randall Road and turned east onto Red Gate Road when the crash occurred.

She reported feeling an impact to the rear of her vehicle and initially believed she had struck an animal.

After exiting her SUV, she discovered damage to the rear passenger side panel. A witness at the scene informed her that she had collided with a motorcyclist.

Emergency crews arrived quickly and found Angelo in critical condition.

They provided immediate medical aid and transported him to Northwestern Medicine Delnor Hospital.

Despite their efforts, Angelo succumbed to his injuries. Two juvenile passengers were in the Range Rover at the time, but no injuries were reported among them.

Authorities have not yet resolved whether Fitz will face charges, and the investigation into the crash remains ongoing.

Field Angelo Bradley Was A Talented Athlete, A Beloved Son, Brother, And Friend

A 2026 graduate of St. Charles North High School, Angelo was a standout player on the North Star varsity football team.

Wearing jersey number 48, he played as a defensive end (DE), defensive tackle (DT), and nose guard (NG), bringing passion and determination to every game.

His teammates and coaches remember him as a fierce competitor with a heart of gold.

Tragically, Angelo passed away doing just that—riding his motorcycle under the night sky.

Despite facing his own struggles, Angelo was known for his kindness and selflessness.

He was the kind of person who would drop everything to help a friend in need.

He was always there for everyone else, even when he was dealing with his own challenges.

Angelo Bradley’s life was cut short, but his legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew him.
