Nicolas Martin Zimmerman was arrested and is facing two counts of felony Electronic Solicitation, nine counts of felony Possession of Child Pornography, and one count of felony Indecent Liberties.

Nicolas Martin Zimmerman, 36, of Chantilly, was born in 1990.

He was a at St. Veronica’s, which caters to kindergarten through 8th-grade students.

According to the Catholic Diocese of Arlington, Nicolas resigned from that position in February 2026 after nearly 10 years of service.

Zimmerman was also involved in an after-school sports club and served as a coach with CYO Sports.

Nicolas Martin Zimmerman Was Arrested And Charged On Multiple Counts

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office arrested Nicolas Martin Zimmerman on Monday, April 7, 2026.

MEDIA RELEASE: The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) is seeking information from the public related to the arrest of Nicholas Martin Zimmerman, a former teacher at St. Veronica’s Catholic School in Chantilly.

Zimmerman, a former physical education teacher at St. Veronica’s in Chantilly, resigned from St. Veronica in late February.

The same day he resigned, St. Veronica received an allegation against Mr. Zimmerman, which was immediately reported to Child Protective Services and law enforcement.

St. Veronica and the diocese cooperated fully with law enforcement in their investigation.

As a condition of his teaching and volunteering, Nicolas underwent a criminal background check and completed VIRTUS safe environment training on the prevention and reporting of abuse.

He has been charged in Loudon Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court with multiple offenses related to child pornography.

These charges include payment to a minor for sexual acts, use of communications systems to facilitate child offenses, and possession of child pornography.

The LCSO Special Victims Unit believes additional victims may be connected to the case and seeks the community’s assistance.

In addition, DC News Now reached out to St. Veronica’s Catholic School for a statement and was referred to a statement put out by the Catholic Diocese of Arlington. In a , they said,

“Mr. Zimmerman underwent a criminal background check and completed VIRTUS safe environment training on the prevention and reporting of abuse,”  “Mr. Zimmerman had been employed at the school from 2015 to 2026. His activities there included an after-school sports club. He also served as a coach with CYO sports. We are not aware of any misconduct that took place on school or parish property. At this time, all known charges brought against Mr. Zimmerman involve activity that took place electronically and over the internet.”
