The community is reeling following the tragic and deeply disturbing death of 15-year-old Timmie Favorite, an incoming freshman at Saginaw United High School, who drowned in a 12-foot underground pool during a party over the weekend.
While authorities have yet to confirm the full details, growing outrage online and in the local community centers around disturbing allegations that Timmie was pushed into the pool, despite his repeated pleas that he couldn’t swim.
Witnesses claim he was thrown into the water multiple times, the final time reportedly after someone was paid $50 to do so.
One heartbroken friend wrote online,
“He got out and told everybody to stop throwing him in because he couldn’t swim. Then somebody paid someone else $50 to throw him back in — knowing he couldn’t swim. They found him two hours later. TWO HOURS.”
Via FacebookAnother echoed the horror and confusion,
“Wait — adults were at this party and no one jumped in to save the kid?? They waited for police to do it? Wtf.”
Via FacebookThe third mentioned,
“The pool was 12 foot deep and he couldn’t swim. He got pushed. No one helped him.”
