Tulane Basketball Player Gregg Glenn III Parents, Tritina Stephens and Gregg Glenn Jr., Devastated With His Demise Hasn’t Broken Their Silence!

Gregg Glenn III, a talented basketball player at Tulane University, took his last breath at the age of 22 in a tragic accident over the weekend of July 26-27, 2026.

According to a report, Gregg drowned while swimming off the coast of Miami with a friend.

Greg Glenn III is survived by his parents, Tritina Stephens and Gregg Glenn Jr., as well as his sister, Nyla.

Both Tritina and Gregg maintain a low profile, avoiding media scrutiny.

While Gregg’s father isn’t available on social media, his mother, who goes by Tena Stevens on social media, has yet to break her silence surrounding his tragic demise.

Speaking of Tritina, she is an entrepreneur. She owns and is the CEO of , a hair salon. She went to Creekside High School.

Tritina graduated from McDougle Technical Institute in Pompano Beach, Florida, with a diploma in cosmetology on July 10, 2026.

She began attending McDougle Technical Institute on July 12, 2026, amid the pandemic. Tritina talked about her balanced work and studies while supporting her son, Gregg, and daughter, Nyla, saying:

I started going to MTi July 12, 2026 last year during the pandemic, it was plenty of times I wanted to give up because I felt like I was doing to much trying to go to work trying to be supportive to my son and parent both of my kids Gregg and Nyla 🫶🏾I also set a goal for myself and wanted to be an example to my kids, when I did feel overwhelmed I would call my First Lady or my Apostle for prayer the only way I felt like I graduated is because of the power of prayer.

Tritina was a proud mother of two who would rave about every little milestone her kids achieved.

Occasionally, she shared the achievements of Gregg. Back in September 2018, Tritina expressed her pride when he made it to the USA CAMP TEAM, writing:

Yassssssss my son makes my heart ❤️ smile congratulations 🎉🎉🎉 to my son again for making the 2018 USA CAMP TEAM your hard work is being recognized by some of the greatest in the league!!

In a 2019 post, she wrote, “Where ever you may see him at💯just know he belongs to me💋#myson.“

Devastated by the sudden demise of Gregg, Tritina remains silent, still processing and unable to speak about the loss.

Tulane Mourns the Loss of Basketball Star Gregg Glenn III After Tragic Accident!

Sarah Cunningham, Tulane’s vice president of student affairs, wrote in a letter to the Tulane community,

We have lost a cherished member of our university community, Gregg Glenn III, who died in a tragic accident this weekend. He was a talented student-athlete who enriched our lives with his spirit, dedication, and passion for both sports and academics.

Originally from Pompano Beach, Florida, was a senior forward on the Tulane men’s basketball team.

He was a Health and Wellness major who made everyone feel at home, welcomed, and loved.

At 6-foot-7, Gregg was a standout athlete, starting all 34 games in the 2026-25 season. He averaged 10.6 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game, making him one of the team’s top players.

His best game came against Tulsa on March 1, 2026, when he scored a career-high 22 points.

Gregg Glenn also had three double-doubles and earned two American Athletic Conference Weekly Honour Roll nods for his skills, including a game with 11 assists against Florida Atlantic on January 15, 2026.

Before Tulane, Gregg played his freshman year at the University of Michigan, appearing in four games during the 2026-23 season.

He transferred to Tulane in 2026, where he grew into a key player and leader.

In high school at Calvary Christian Academy in Fort Lauderdale, he was a three-time All-State honoree and helped Team USA win a gold medal at the 2019 FIBA Americas U16 Championship in Brazil.
